For the fourth time, we were invited back to PetSmart during the PetSmart Adoption Event to do pet photography. I LOVE pet photography. Animals are one of my big passions in life and they bring soooo much joy to my heart. I love getting to see all of the fuzzy faces that come through PetSmart, even if they’re not getting their photos taken. This past weekend we had all sorts of sweet animals! One of my favorite returning customers came in with a new addition to her Chinese Shar Pei family, Monty! He was soooo cute! I have a special place in my heart for CSP’s. My best friend’s sister, who is also a great friend of mine, Monica Brown, has a CSP named Andre that my oldest dog, Jayda, used to play with. Jayda and Andre just looooooooved each other. Then one day, Monica and Andre moved out to Colorado, where Jayda and Andre haven’t seen each other since.
Sad, I know! Someday they’ll get to play though!
Here’s Monty
From time to time, we have clients bring in their cats to be photographed. As you can imagine, this doesn’t usually go over very well… At all, actually. The training room that they give us to set up and do the photos in smells like dog, so automatically, cats typically don’t like the smell, but not Saturday. Nope. Saturday we had the most awesome cat in the world (which restored my faith that cats can be good) come in to get photographed. The cat’s name was Maverick and is a bengal! It was the most beautiful cat I’d ever seen. Here are a couple of favs.
All in all, we had such an awesome time. Saturday was pretty slow but Sunday was pretty much non stop. I’m so thankful to all of the pet owners who bring their sweet animals by to be photographed and to PetSmart for inviting us back, again, to be a part of their Adoption weekend. And, of course, $2 from each session went back to PetSmart charities.
